I Ranked All of Dodge's Outfits in "Locke & Key"

Here Are All Of Dodge's Best And Worst Looks From The First Two Seasons of "Locke & Key"

Dodge is definitely the best-dressed character in “Locke & Key”.

Yes, I'm including her toxic ex, Kinsey. Her clothes are pretty, but they're no fun.

Even a fan as huge as myself didn't really appreciate or even notice this aspect of her until the second season launched in October. Griffin Gluck hogging the spotlight for ninety-five percent of her screen time actually makes this objective considerably easier. Still, it is very characteristic that the queen of queens knows better than anyone that there’s power in a good outfit.

Every single one of her costumes is iconic, which makes what I'm about to do very difficult...but alas, it is a solemn task I have a duty to undertake.

Below is my ranking of Dodge's outfits from all twenty “Locke & Key” episodes.

In last place we have Dodge's skintight bodysuit from Trapper/Keeper.

Dodge channeling her inner Black Widow with the effortlessly alluring v-neck and everything being at rock bottom isn't a bad outfit in any sense of the word, so you know you're in for a visual treat. It's one of her only outfit that zips up and even she realizes it's not the look she was going for after seeing a poster. For the few seconds her bodysuit was on screen, though, it definitely sent an unusual energy more harrowing than before the show fleshed her out more. Instead they show her when she's at her worst but her mental health improved considerably by the beginning of the second season. Sorry, Dodge, but they used to do you dirty.

Next we have Dodge in her black getup from The Premiere.

This outfit looks like her previous one, just a bit looser. We don't even see the whole thing, but it's nice to know she hasn't gone anywhere, setting up an ideal tone for what is yet to come.

Next up, we've got Dodge in her casual white jacket from Ray of F***ing Sunshine.

While most of her outfits bring all the boys to the yard, this outfit is contrarily supposed to be plain and conventional and detract attention, and it does its job well. Still, just seeing her out of both sleevelessness and black overtones is a bit disorienting.

I've decided to begin the Top Ten with her body flowing free.

I debated even counting this one, but as long as she's wearing clothes it counts. When she choked Gilles into unconsciousness, she had on a fancy necklace and black bra on that accentuates her strong, alluringly thin body perfectly. His choking attempt was more pathetic than Kinsey's existence (if that's possible) and I would've incapacitated him too. Still, it's simply not as fun as seeing her killing that black demon dress calling shadows to do her will.

Coming in at #9, it's Dodge's carnival dress from Trapper/Keeper.

You've probably guessed by now that anything not dominantly black in color has no place at the top of the list. Still, this colorful yet dominantly red outfit suits her so well, and I am in love with the fact that Dodge just wore it to come down to Keyhouse Manor and make sure a six-year-old was still on good terms with her and give him a peace offering. How sweet can someone get?

Moving out of the second episode and Season Two premiere, #8 goes to Dodge's casual black jacket.

This outfit is honestly pretty by-the-by, but I love how she wears it to an unexpected sacrifice of a teenage liability (comic buffs will know).

At #7, we've got her black cowl from Trapper/Keeper!

Underneath, this is the same outfit as #10 — but this time it's paired with the perfect piece. We all knew from this outfit and her look fastening the necklace on that this is someone who can be your inhumane demise or sublime adrenalize, and it all depends on how you treat her.

Coming at #6 is her black shirt and blue jeans from The Keepers of the Keys.

While casual, this is nonetheless an eye-catching outfit on the right person, and given Laysla De Oliveira's uncanny ability to look breathtaking in a pizza onesie, sounds like she is definitely the right person.

Welcome to the top 5! At #5, we've got Dodge's sleeveless dress from the episode that started it all.

This one's gotta be in the top 5 just because it's the closest thing Dodge has worn to the comics. I love that they embraced more of a comic book–inspired look for the new season, and Dodge proves here that it can be done and there is hope. The only thing off about it is why she'd even wear it at all in the Wellhouse when she first arrived in a white T-shirt. The more I think about that, the less sense it makes.

At #4, we've got her funeral suit from The Black Door.

Goodness, the columned buttons, the dark pants, the cuffed sleeves, it's a damn shame we didn't see her in this for longer. It's just such a kickass getup!

At #3, we've got... her black coat from Cliffhanger!

Were you expecting this one? I swear no one has ever worn something like this and looked so alluring. Laysla De Oliveira looks great in pretty much anything, and this casual yet eye-catching outfit is an ideal reminder of that.

At #2 — and this was a hard one — I've decided to put Dodge's black jacket and red skirt from The Black Door and Dissection.

Talk about being overwhelmingly sexy without being objectively slutty. The hair, the makeup, the skirt, the jacket...I'm absolutely obsessed with this whole outfit. It shouldn't work, and yet it does. I would dearly love to feel the red leather and see if it's real or not. If you know what I mean. And the fact that it's the only outfit she wore for two episodes in a row tells you just how amazing it really is.

1. And finally, what you've all been waiting for...the #1 Dodge outfit is...drumroll please....her demon dress from Crown of Shadows!

Dodge knows how to summon hell's forces. The hair, the makeup, the texture, the way her sleeves wrap a band around her strong hands between her appealingly pliable fingers... I'm absolutely obsessed with this whole outfit. My baby off destroying people and proving the perfect dress actually exists... is more than I can take. And the utterly kickass collar... I am just living for this entire look. Dodge, I need your closet.

Obviously, all her outfits are amazing, but which do you think are the best and worst? Let me know in the comments!
